It may purpose as being a wetting and dispersing agent serving to insoluble particles for example color pigments or inorganic sunscreens (zinc/titanium dioxide) to disperse good and perhaps in liquids.  I also like this is in the tub, I do have some oil cleansers with a pump that function fantastic, but I are likely to portion out strong clean
